It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of Walter Pirie, Walter carried his illness with a cheery wit that stood him well right up to the end.
Walter has been an Edzell Bowler for many years and a willing helper in the repair and upkeep of the club and will be greatly missed by us all.
I am sure the men's shed would join with us in our sadness, as he was a regular there for several years.
I will miss a friend and a good neighbour whom I have been privileged to know for many years.
Walter hiding behind his bowling ball trophy that he won in the first men's shed bowling competition, he always ducked out of the photos if he could.
Rest in peace Walter you will never be forgotten.
Walter's Funeral will be on Wednesday the 10th of April at 12:30 at Friockheim Crematorium
