Its been a while since my last blog, mainly due to the fantastic Summer weather, we have had no disruption to the Bowling this year so its been kind of busy.
There has been several friendly matches with other clubs, something we are very happy about.
Our mixed pairs competition went very well, unfortunately Edzell weren't in the final, apart from that it was a great competition, it was won by, A. Pirie and M. Stott who produced a exciting final, Edzell's best pair were C. Laidlaw and R. Anderson and me I fell at the first hurdle.
Most of our internal matches are just about finished with the men's Championship being played on Mon 25 at 6:30 there are still a few matches still to be played yet, and the season marches on.
Our green is standing up to the very hot summer sunshine reasonably well due to the work of George Barclay and Jim Mc Donald there are a few very dry patches but not bad considering the weather we have had.
If you are reading this and still haven't tried your hand at Bowling, there is still time to come and give it a go, we are always willing to help new bowlers try it out, come on dont be shy give it a try, Tuesday< at 6:00 and Friday >6:00 its only a couple of hours out of a day, its well worth the minimal effort.
